Talk:ew

Often in informal American English, short interjections like "ew", "ow",and "no" are pronounced disyllabicly (The word "no" sometimes sounding like the name "Noah") adding an extra schwa at the end of the word: e.g. [ˈnoʊ̯] becomes [ˈnoʊ̯ə], and [aʊ̯] becomes [ˈaʊ̯ə]. Are there any documented sources I can cite to explain this phenomenon in the entries for these words without it being original research?Nayrb Rellimer (talk) 03:10, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
