History[edit]

Some questions:

  1. What's the history of this term? It'd be nice to know its origin.
  2. Who first used it, and when, and can we quote it? It seems to me to be older than the 2012 quote given, but "I've been wrong before".
  3. Does it derive from LOL, perhaps as a plural form of LOL as a noun?
