Sure, it's a real thing, but it seems like such an obvious sum of parts that it hardly merits an entry. Having this suggests we should have all of the following obvious "nights" (from Google Books), and more: "The Bowling Green ... has a quiz night every Tuesday"; "a spin-off heavy metal night that was soon better attended than the punk rock night"; "The venue that hosts the goth night originally had a wide repertoire of gimmicks, including Latin night and hip-hop night". Agree, let the night fall over this entry. --Hekaheka (talk) 22:34, 13 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, but shouldn't night have a definition to reflect this usage? Ungoliant MMDCCLXIV 02:54, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How is someone supposed to know that this term is related to a bar or dancing from gay + night?Lucifer (talk) 04:44, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Does it necessarily? How does one know that bingo night often involves gambling? DCDuring TALK 09:32, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Because bingo is a game of chance. Gay doesn't mean drinking or barsLucifer (talk) 21:22, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, the definition is probably too narrow. I don't think it is essential that a gay night should be regularly scheduled nor does it need to take place at a bar or club. I can organize a private gay night in my home or my yacht if I so wish. But, if the definition is broadened, it becomes a mere gay + night, thus I keep my delete. --Hekaheka (talk) 09:58, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You could have a superbowl on your yacht too but that doesn't make it a real one. One can reasonably expect are you coming to gay night? to mean will you come drinking/dancing with us since it the regularly scheduled homosexual filled fun fest is going on again? Not will you join me on my yacht.Lucifer (talk) 21:27, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I could hardly have a superbowl aboard my yacht but I could very well have a superbowl night! --Hekaheka (talk) 05:29, 15 March 2012 (UTC)\[reply]
I could have a superbowl on my yacht, we could all play around throwing a football back and forth on a friday or wednesday or any non nfl superbowl day without watching any football on any screen.Lucifer (talk) 20:04, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, straightforward. Mglovesfun (talk) 12:23, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
How would you know that this meant it involved a bar? How is that straightforward?Lucifer (talk) 20:05, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't have to involve a bar. Hekaheka's already said that, so I decided not to repeat it. Mglovesfun (talk) 20:07, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it does dude and no she didn't she just stated that the official NFL superbowl can't be held on a bar.Lucifer (talk) 02:07, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
