I'm not finding this used at all, and even as a mention (which should be sufficient as Irish is an LDL), I only found it here and here, both of which consider it to be a term of geology rather than biology. I have no idea what neoteny means in geology anyway; we certainly have no corresponding sense for it. And anyway, I'm not inclined to accept either of those links as reliable enough to support an otherwise ununsed and unmentioned Irish word; tearma.ie is known for deliberately coining words its editors feel Irish needs, and there's no indication of who is behind the terms of acmhainn.ie's geology dictionary. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 12:59, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
