Now Riported English does NOT eliminate the R sound, but it is the cockney accent that does so. So why do you insist eliminating every R sound from Reported English peronunciation? Have you ever heard the queen, who speaks Reported English (at least she), say: "I tuk paat to a meeting" (sorry for the newly invented alphabet). She would say paRt, caRt, not paat, caat. Please don't make correct every page on this dictionary. That said I have finished

- Yes I know that in most of England they don't utter the r before a consonant. In fact I wrote in Reported English, they pronunce it. If you say that Reported English does't utter the r sound before consonant than you are wrong.
- I mean Received Pronunciation. What you say before "a woman from england doesn't utter the r" doesn't mean nothing. In a country there are many dialects. And anyway you can't reduce english language to just england, even if the invented that language, because now it is spread all over the world. And there are so many dialects in just england imagine all over the english speaking world

There is no UK pronunciation there are various UK pronunciations. In London they say paak to use you exemple in Edinburgh they say parrk, the queen would say ever heard the queen, well tha's th RP aka official english pronunciation and she says park.
