Does tinkerer mean the same as tinker? I think the two definitions should be combined.

No. A tinker mends pots and pans. A tinkerer is someone who tinkers around, e.g. experimenting with machinery. Equinox ◑ 13:42, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
