Usage

This template can be used in the "References" and "Further reading" sections of an entry and on talk pages to provide a citation for Hans Kurath and Raven I. McDavid Jr.'s The pronunciation of English in the Atlantic States (1961). It can also be used to create a link to an online version of the book at the Internet Archive.

Parameters

The template takes the following parameters:

• |1=, |section=, or |sections= – the section number(s) cited in Arabic numerals.
• |2=, |page=, or |pages= – the number(s) of the page(s) cited as a reference.
• |3=, |text=, or |passage= – a passage cited from the source.
• |nodot= – by default, the template adds a full stop (period) at the end of the citation. To suppress this punctuation, use |nodot=1 or |nodot=yes.
