This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from William Tyndale's 1526 and 1534 English translations of the New Testament of the Bible, which is part of what is commonly known as the "Tyndale Bible". It can be used to link to the following editions of the work:
In place of the comma, the work uses the virgula suspensiva. To replicate this in quotations, you may use a left lower slanted stroke (⸝, which generates the symbol ⸝) or a non-breaking space and an oblique or slash ( /).
|year= – mandatory in some cases: if quoting from the 1534 edition, specify |year=1534.
|4= or |folio=, and |verso= – mandatory in some cases: the work is numbered by folios rather than page numbers. The folio number is indicated on the top right corner of each recto (right-hand) page. Use |folio= to indicate the folio number in lowercase Roman numerals (if desired, j need not be changed to i), and if quoting from a verso (left-hand) page specify |verso=1 or |verso=yes; if |verso= is omitted, the template indicates that a recto (right-hand) page is quoted.
In the 1534 edition, two different folios are numbered as folio ccxxiii. Specify the second occurrence as |folio=ccxxiiia.
Some folio numbers have errors, which should be corrected. A list of them with links to the folios at the Internet Archive is indicated below:
If quoting a range of folios, for example, "folios x, verso – xj, recto", note the following:
Use |folio= and |verso= to specify the folio at the start of the range, and |folioend= and |versoend= (if required) to specify the folio at the end of the range.
In addition, use |folioref= and |versoref= to indicate the page to be linked to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears). (If quoting a recto page, omit |versoend= and |versoref=.)

|1= or |book= – mandatory: the short name of the book of the Bible quoted – see the table below for the full list. To have the template display the full name of the book as it appears in the work, specify |format=full.
|2= or |chapter= – mandatory: the chapter number of the book quoted in Arabic numerals. The template will convert the chapter number into Roman numerals.
|3=, |verse=, or |verses= – the work was not divided into verses. Use this parameter to specify the verse of the chapter quoted from a modern edition of the New Testament, which will be displayed in brackets. If citing a range of verses, separate the first and last verses of the range with an en dash, like this: |verses=10–11.
|5=, |text=, or |passage= – the passage quoted from the Bible. For accuracy, please quote the text as indicated in the 1st edition or the 1836 edition of the work as appropriate, not a different version.
|footer= – a comment about the passage quoted.
|brackets= – use |brackets=on to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.
