Usage[edit]

This template creates an inflection table for German adjective + feminine noun phrases like sexuelle Orientierung as well as for feminine substantivized adjectives like Obdachlose.

For an adjective + feminine noun phrase, the syntax is:

{{de-decl-adj+noun-f|1|2|3}}

where:

  1. is the lemma form of the adjective (e.g. sexuell)
  2. is the lemma form of the noun (e.g. Orientierung)
  3. is the plural ending of the noun, if this can be added without changing the form of the lemma:
    • e, en, n, s can be added here.

If the plural cannot be formed by tacking something onto the singular (e.g. if there's umlaut or if something in the singular is dropped before the plural ending is added, then specify the plural with pl=. If the dative plural isn't formed by adding -n to the nominative plural, then specify the dative plural with datpl=. The two parameters pl= and datpl= can be omitted if they don't have to be specified.

For a substantivized adjective, the syntax is:

{{de-decl-adj+noun-f|1||pl=|datpl=}}

where 1 is the lemma form of the original adjective, but capitalized (e.g. Obdachlos). Parameter 2 must be left blank, and pl= and datpl= must be present (but have nothing written after them).
