This template creates an inflection table for German adjective + masculine noun phrases like blinder Passagier as well as for masculine substantivized adjectives like Obdachloser.

For an adjective + masculine noun phrase, the syntax is:

  1. is the lemma form of the adjective (e.g. blind)
  2. is the lemma form of the noun (e.g. Passagier)
  3. is the genitive ending of the noun:
    • (e)s for optional e before s
    • es for required e before s
    • n, en, ns, ens for these endings.
  4. is the plural ending of the noun, if this can be added without changing the form of the lemma:
    • e, en, n, s can be added here.
    • - for an endingless plural

If the plural cannot be formed by tacking something onto the singular (e.g. if there's umlaut or if something in the singular is dropped before the plural ending is added, then specify the plural with pl=. If the dative plural isn't formed by adding -n to the nominative plural, then specify the dative plural with datpl=. The two parameters pl= and datpl= can be omitted if they don't have to be specified.

For a substantivized adjective, the syntax is:

where 1 is the lemma form of the original adjective, but capitalized (e.g. Obdachlos). Parameter 2 must be left blank, parameter 3 must contain -, and datpl= must be present (but have nothing written after it).
