Template:he-conj-hif'il/documentation

{{he-conj-hif'il}} produces conjugation tables for regular hif'íl verbs. It also tries to handle certain irregularities, but I'm not sure which (it depends on other undocumented templates), so please use with caution.

Parameters:

• p= (required)

  the first letter of the root

• a= (required)

  the second letter of the root

• l= (required)

  the third letter of the root

• pastvowel= (optional; defaults to a khirík)

  the vowel that appears under the initial héi in past-tense forms, such as the khirík in הִסְכַּמְנוּ (hiskámnu, “we (have) agreed”)

  for regular verbs, this parameter can be omitted, because the default value is appropriate for them

• impvowel= (optional; defaults to a tseiréi)

  the vowel that appears under the second letter of the root in the masculine singular imperative form, such as the tseiréi in הַתְחֵל! (hatkhél!, “start!”), as well as in the second– and third-person feminine plural future and imperative forms

  for regular verbs, this parameter can be omitted, because the default value is appropriate for them
