This page contains usage information, categories, interwiki links and other content describing the template.

This template is used to indicate the root of a Hebrew word. It should generally be used directly under the etymology heading in an entry or under the Hebrew heading if no etymology section exists. To use the template call it providing at least one root with the letters separated by a makaf (־). For example at כְּתִיבָה (ktivá), {{he-rootbox|כ־ת־ב}}. More roots can be added as further parameters using the pipe character (|). Pages using this template will be categorized at the relevant root category. A right-aligned box with a link to the root page, the root's category and an explanation of Semitic roots will show up.
