Template:move

This template is placed on a page (whether in mainspace or elsewhere) to indicate that someone thinks the page should be moved to a different title. It uses {{request box}} to display a notice on the page, linking to a discussion at Wiktionary:Requests for moves, mergers and splits about the proposed move. It automatically categorizes the page in Category:Pages to be moved (unless parameters specify otherwise).
Note that uncontroversial page moves (to fix typos, for example) do not need to be discussed and can just be performed without using this template. This template can be used when the move is potentially controversial, when you are not (auto)confirmed (and thus cannot move pages) or the move requires an administrator or extended mover.
Parameters
[edit]|1=(optional)- The proposed new title for the page.
|2=(optional)- Reason for moving page.
|section=or|fragment=(optional)- The heading of the discussion at Wiktionary:Requests for moves, mergers and splits. This is used to create the link to the discussion. It defaults to the current (original) page name.
|nocat=(optional)- If given any value this parameter will prevent the page from being categorized.
|sort=(optional)- The sort key to use when categorizing. This usually does not need to be specified.
