This template is for use in entries like water, where several thousand invocations of {{t}} and friends would cause a Lua memory error.

The first parameter is the language code, the second parameter is the word. This template does not, and will not, take any other parameters. Use {{t}}.

Language code. This is used to add a language attribute.
The word to link to.
The alternative display text. This will be needed to remove acute accents from Russian, to remove macrons or breves from Latin, or to remove diacritics from Arabic. Ordinarily, such replacements would be done using a module.
The language name. Used to link to the language's section of the entry. Please supply this. If you don't, the template will use a module to convert the language code to the language name, which will add to the Lua memory load.
The script. If the script is Latin (Latn), don't input anything. This is used to apply script classes.
The gender. Displays after the interwiki and before the transliteration.
The transliteration, for non-Latin-script languages. To automatically generate this, use {{subst:xlit|language code|displayed term}}.
Adds an interwiki link. Equivalent to using {{t+}}.
