Language isolates[edit]

This should have a parameter for language isolates, or at least 'No family', so that the category doesn't simply say 'Unknown language family'. Nadando 20:49, 7 January 2010 (UTC)

Saved ancestors of creole languages[edit]

I've saved these from the old version of langfamily. —CodeCat 21:35, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

This template isn't used anywhere, and there is now a (better?) alternative by using Module:language utilities. —CodeCat 12:05, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

It was used. What happened?—msh210 (talk) 19:37, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
It really wasn't. Families are only really used in three places: the language categories, the tree of family categories, and the derived-from categories. Apparently, all three of those just called the /family template directly and did not use this template. —CodeCat 19:40, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Ah, so I guess its use stopped when we started using the language-code slash-templates a couple of years back? All right; thanks for the info. Delete.—msh210 (talk) 21:17, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
