Deletion debate[edit]

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process.

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

Wrong namespace, it should be Wiktionary:Requested entries (English)/priority requests as designed to be used only on one page. But, it seems redundant to just writing the words out by hand. Or worse, it's less efficient as you can't you use edit section or edit page button on Wiktionary:Requested entries (English) to edit it, you have to type it in the search bar (that's what I did). Some of these requests look dodgy to me, but frankly I don't think that matters to this debate. Mglovesfun (talk) 19:16, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Does this require a deletion discussion? If it belongs in a different namespace, just move it without leaving a redirect. —Angr 21:20, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just delete it. Someone's good idea that has never been used. SemperBlotto (talk) 21:32, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm proposing a deletion, not a move. Mglovesfun (talk) 10:08, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. As far as I can tell, its only purpose was to have the same list on the creator's user and talk pages as well as the requested entries page. Besides which, it gives the impression of some kind of process for prioritizing requests, but the only criterion is: can the nominator figure out how to get to the list to edit it? It has a little value to push some items up toward more rapid inclusion, but perhaps a protected requests page transcluded onto WT:REE (just to use English as an example), would better serve the purpose. DCDuring TALK 20:22, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
On closer examination, delete asap. DCDuring TALK 20:26, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We could add a 'priority requests' subsection to WT:REE. I'd rather we didn't, but we could... Mglovesfun (talk) 20:48, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
