Usage

[edit]

This template links to the previous edit history manually copied to an older revision of the talk page. To use this template:

1. Paste the relevant logs to the talk page, completely removing any discussion. The following format is recommended (an upcoming script will automatically generate the tables):
History from w:Blah
Deletion log
timestamp
linked username
action and page name
action reason

Edit log
timestamp
linked username
edit summary
2. At the top of the page, add the following code:

3. Save the page, then click "Permanent link" on the sidebar. In the URL of the page that loads, copy the number after "oldid=".
4. Edit the page: blank the history you pasted and restore any previous discussion.
5. At the top of the page, add the following code with the number you copied in the 'oldid' field. If you lost the number, you can get it from the page history (click on a timestamp in the edit log, then get the number after 'oldid' in the URL).

For an example of this, see Talk:ARFCN.
