Discussion[edit]

Deprecate in favor of {etyl|und} ?[edit]

Consider instead using {{etyl|und}}, as per this discussion.

Alternatively, one may distinguish by using {{etyl|und}} for when a word comes from some undetermined language, while {{unk.}} is for when the etymology is otherwise unknown.

Capitalization[edit]

Why is this capitalized? Doesn't work in a sentence (e.g.). Michael Z. 2010-05-24 12:53 z

I agree. Even with a nocap arg it remains capitalised. Can we get this amended? Leasnam 15:20, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Looks like adding a "title=unknown" parameter works. Ugly, but whatever. --Tropylium (talk) 12:04, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Template:unk.[edit]

Seems to be redundant to {{und}}. Mglovesfun (talk) 23:14, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
