Here it is: IPA(key): (Central, Balearic) [kə.təˈla]

It looks like the module isn't finished yet. I did say it wasn't deployed yet.

CodeCat20:39, 3 August 2016

Oh, OK. Sorry.

I've made a few quick modifications. I don't know if it works, try it out.

CodeCat20:44, 3 August 2016

Apparently, it does. Thank you! If there’s any problem I’ll tell you.

I hope you know Catalan pronunciation well enough to spot errors.

CodeCat20:50, 3 August 2016

Yes, quite enough.

It's fixed more now.

CodeCat20:56, 3 August 2016

I see. However, I’ve just noticed the module has a function for central Catalan, including a parameter "i".

I originally wrote functions to provide Central and Valencian pronunciations, but they are both untested and only the Central one is properly implemented.

CodeCat21:05, 3 August 2016

Ah, alright. In any case, let’s just leave them.

I've documented the template a bit too now.

Nuvolet from Wikipedia will probably be more than happy to help you with Valencian.

Is there a way to add in the function postprocess_general consonant lenition for /b/, /d/, and /ɡ/? They should display as follows:

  • "aeiouɛɔsʃzʒjwlʎ" before "b", "β"
  • "aeiouɛɔfsʃvzʒjw" before "d", "ð"
  • "aeiouɛɔfsʃvzʒjwlʎ" before "ɡ", "ɣ"

Thanks ;)

Lenition of consonants is not phonemic, and currently the template only shows a phonemic representation.

CodeCat13:01, 5 August 2016

I was asking just because there's already the palatalization of /n/ and /l/, which I didn't consider phonemic.

Those are phonemic, what makes you think they're not?

CodeCat13:18, 5 August 2016

Well, the fact they come closer to the place of articulation of the following consonant (I was referring to /n/ and /l/ before /ʃ/, /tʃ/, /ʒ/, and /dʒ/). But I trust you if you tell me those are phonemic.

It's the same as in English finger.
