I understand. But labelling them only as "regional" doesn't help much either. It depends on where the reader is expecting to find the word. It creates more questions than it solves, because a reader might now wonder "if I go to Dubrovnik/Zagreb/Novi Sad/Podgorica/Tuzla and use this word, would that cause problems?". The doubt that is cast by the term "regional" might cause an otherwise uninformed reader to avoid using the word altogether.

Going through and labeling every single Turkish, Persian, and Arabic word as "regionalism" simply because you have not heard them (but somehow you know they are orientalisms) doesn't help at all. And no, HJP does not label Croatian-only words as "regionalisms". It labels some as "neologisms", but not as regionalisms. I'm tempted to revert all the recent edits. And yes, all of these words are well known in Bosnia and some in Serbia as well. Some are considered only poetic, dated, or historical in Serbia, whereas in Bosnia they are deeply embedded in Bosnian culture and daily usage.
