Rule of the game : i keep from consulting dictionaries when i am working here, for the temptation to copy in here what i find there would be great ; so i locate my stuff elsewhere, such as in grammar books, literary works, Wikipedia, etc. If i do check against a dictionary, and end-up following its information, i will add a reference as a footnote as to where i saw such stuff.
