oh hello. my name is Juwan (/ˈjuwan/). I am a Brazilian–Portuguese linguistics enthusiast and amateur lexicographer.

my native language is Brazilian Portuguese with a Paulistano dialect from the city of São Paulo, with some influences from other dialects due to my family history. I am currently living in Lisbon, Portugal. if you're ever in the area, feel free to ask me to have a chat over coffee!

I have been learning English since I was a young and, as a linguistics nerd, have gone through many accents to see what I liked best. my accent is leaning Standard Southern British mixed with Brazilian influences in phonology and a combination of British and American lexicon (leaning British).

I understand that my goal is the destruction of my purpose.

as a Wiktionary editor, my vision and philosophy is to include all words in all languages as a completionist effort despite that Wiktionary will never be complete.

editing terms helps improve coverage and accuracy of the language by communities, sometimes those close to me, and to alert about hate used to harass us and my loved ones. my primary interests with editing include documenting subcultures, especially those found on the Internet.

the language that I create entries in are Portuguese and English, as well as translingual.
