About me

I was born in Salvador, Bahia and live in São Paulo. I am a big fan of the Doces Bárbaros and Chico Buarque. I mostly edit Portuguese entries, and one of my focuses is on improving entries for Portuguese pre-reform spellings; I also love figuring out etymologies and looking up early attestations, as far back as in Old Galician-Portuguese.

I am the newest English Wiktionary administrator. This is a maintenance role — it does not mean that my opinion holds greater weight than any other user’s, nor that my contributions are of a higher quality. I am familiar with the Wiktionary process and what is expected of its entries, but I am not a linguist or otherwise an expert in lexicography. As such, I strive to add references and quotations for almost all content I add, as any user should.
