Kachin[edit]
Modern linguists in English use the name Jingpho instead of Kachin. In English, Kachin includes several languages. --EncycloPetey 04:42, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- If Jingpho is normally written in Burmese script, it would be better to write the entries with the correct Burmese letters, and then put a transliteration/pronunciation after it in parentheses, like this: မြန်မာ (Myanmā). —Stephen 18:49, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- When putting phrases, please do not use punctuation (. or ? or !) at the end. Also, English phrases that begin with the pronoun I are only capitalized because it is a requirement of the English pronoun. If Jingpho ngai does not have to be capitalized, then the phrase probably should not start with a capital letter. —Stephen 08:32, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Formatting[edit]
Please read the welcome links. Each entry MUST start with a ==language== entry and then have a ===part of speach=== entry. If you wikify each word in the phrase by enclosing it in double square brackets then you dont need to provide translations every time. SemperBlotto 07:20, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
Are those supposed to be ==Jingpho==? Why is it capitalized? Is it an ===Interjection===? Please do not include sentence punctuation in entry titles.

Formatting (again)[edit]
You have been here some time and have not learnt how to format articles - they should look like this . . .
==language== ===part of speech=== '''headword''' # definition (or English translation)
If you continue to add words in your own format they are likely to be deleted. SemperBlotto 07:09, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Yet again[edit]
Article names are lower case. They must have the language and part of speech, there is a format you have been reminded of several times. The entries you are making will end up simply being deleted. Robert Ullmann 07:39, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
