It's too easy for those of us who have been for a while to assume that newcomers know everything!!. Please accept a few helpful hints that can make your work easier.

1. If you go to your preferences and set "Remember password across sessions" to on it will avoid having yourself accidentally un-logged when you're writing something. You probably didn't intend to have the record of your comments above credited to your URL, but that's the way it showed up.
2. You can sign your posts by using three tildes in a row. A fourth tilde will add the date and time.
3. A single colon at the beginning of a paragraph will indent the whole paragraph. Increasing the numbe of colons will increase the depth of the indent. This can be useful on talk pages to identify who is saying what.
4. Someone who wants to say something to you personally, as I am doing now will do so on your user talk page, usually below everything that is already there. This will give you the "You have new messages" notice. Replies should be on the other person's talk page so that he can be alerted.
