Warnings before blocking

Hi. No, there isn't a policy requiring an advance warning, and in general our policies are less snuggly than those of Wikipedia. See WT:BLOCK for the guidelines here. For my part, I do try not to be a Nazi about it, but it's pretty darned clear that anybody whose first contribution is along the lines of "SEX" or "PENIS" is not going to be doing anything worthwhile any time soon.
