Support for ö in ast-pr

[edit]

The letter ö is used in the transcription of dialectal forms of Asturian, would you add support for it when you can? Rodrigo5260 (talk) 20:05, 12 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Sure, that would be easy. Can I see some examples of it in use? Santi2222 (talk) 14:12, 13 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
I found it in puörte and puörtu, which corresponds to puerta and puertu in other dialects. Rodrigo5260 (talk) 15:16, 13 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Okay, so internally it should be treated as a variant of /o/. I assume its value is ø right? Santi2222 (talk) 16:07, 13 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think so. Rodrigo5260 (talk) 16:47, 13 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

mmatta

[edit]

This is in CAT:E because your module doesn't recognize it as having a valid Class 1 prefix. Either your module is wrong or your reference is wrong. Either way, you need to fix something- if all else fails, use {{head|bvb|noun}}. Thanks, Chuck Entz (talk) 22:15, 11 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the warning! I checked CAT:E a couple times after making some changes to the module but it was too early for the entry to show up in the category. Santi2222 (talk) 23:13, 11 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yeísmo in Asturleonese

[edit]

Asturleonese seems to have yeísmo, too, especially in urban areas. Rodrigo5260 (talk) 18:50, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

I'll take a look into it. The Asturian pronunciation module is a fork of the Spanish one so it won't be hard to add. Santi2222 (talk) 22:02, 14 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
