• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy documenting how Wiktionary pages should be formatted. All entries should conform to this standard. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing page for a similar word, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Our Criteria for inclusion (CFI) define exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary, though it may be a bit technical and longwinded. The most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• The FAQ aims to answer most of your remaining questions, and there are several help pages that you can browse for more information.
• A glossary of our technical jargon, and some hints for dealing with the more common communication issues.
• If you have anything to ask about or suggest, we have several discussion rooms. Feel free to ask any other editors in person if you have any problems or question, by posting a message on their talk page.

You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage. This shows which languages you know, so other editors know which languages you'll be working on, and what they can ask you for help with.

Placement of categories

One minor formatting detail: categories should go at the bottom of an individual language's entry, not at the bottom of the page. That means that you should be putting them above the interwiki links, which always belong at the bottom. Thanks! —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 02:53, 14 November 2016 (UTC)

Stress in Hebrew

If you don't know how stress works in Hebrew, then you can add the transliteration without a stress mark and leave an {{attention|he|needs stress}} tag. Otherwise we end up with entries with incorrect stress (such as at בכורה and משרת). --WikiTiki89 15:56, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Removing senses

Also, don't remove senses as you did here. If you don't think it exists, add an {{rfv-sense}} tag and start a discussion at WT:RFV. --WikiTiki89 16:02, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

I realize now that you were the one who had added that sense in the first place. That's more OK, but still Morfix has this sense, so better to RFV it. --WikiTiki89 16:05, 3 May 2017 (UTC)

Transliteration

Why are you creating Hebrew entries without transliteration? In the case of מנצח, it was on he.wikt, which made it really easy. But in other cases where you want to be sure about the stress, you can search for the word on Forvo or YouTube. It's also okay to add transliteration without stress if you can't figure it out. —Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 19:23, 12 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey. Could you check שמפו please? Also, there are 10 more similar Hebrew entries at Category:Tbot entries (Hebrew) which could be checked, if you have time. --Kriss Barnes (talk) 01:58, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

I'm unsure of the pronounciation. Both Morfix and the Hebrew Academy use שַׁמְפּוּ but various Youtube product reviewers pronounce it as שַׁמְפּוֹ. I hesitate to edit the entry. Taokailam (talk) 15:33, 11 August 2020 (UTC)
