Entry Layout Explained[edit]

This section is an extrapolation of WT:ELE to fit the Kurdish language.

English- Kurdish Translations[edit]

Although many efforts have been made to standardize Kurdish, the use of local dialects is still dominant to any proposed standard form. For that matter, the Kurdish translation should indicate the dialect. Example:

*Kurdish: enter standard Kurdish here
*:Kurmanji: ku
*:Sorani:

This will appear as:

  • Kurdish:
    Kurmanji: roj
    Sorani: ڕۆژ ‎(řoj)

Make sure you adhere to the use of the t template when entering English- Kurdish translations.
When entering translations using the Arabic script, use the template where tr= indicates transliteration.
When entering translations using the Roman script, it is sufficient to use ku

Compounds and affixes[edit]

The format for compound words and affixes conforms to WT:ETY, but Finnish has some morphological features that need attention.

To get suffixed words in the appropriate categories, such as contributors can use the template .

heval +‎ -tî

To get affixed words in the appropriate categories, such as contributors can use the template .

Which gives:
bê- +‎ diran

To get compound words into contributors can use the template .

Which gives:
ziman ‎(language) +‎ malbat ‎(family)

Please adhere to standards indicated in Appendix: Kurdish transliteration to provide romanization for words written in the Arabic script.
