Jump to: navigation, search

This page lists proposed English protologisms starting with the letters A through F, with brief definitions, though some of these terms include examples of usage, etymologies, pronunciations, etc. Feel free to add additional suggested words for others to consider, but please do not add articles for them. That being the case most links to these words should remain red. Humorous additions are fine as long as they fill an expressive gap. Please see Wiktionary:Protologisms for more detailed guidelines.

  • dark censorship - the act of censoring access to beneficial information or the truth: destructive censorship (synonym: negative censorship)
  • dark shell - a very large and very old theoretical astronomical structure which oscillates thereby creating universes within the structure. The proposed mechanism in the oscillation for collecting matter is the (rare) creation of a sink, a triple point singularity, into which dark matter flows and into which regular (baryonic) matter can enter. On entry, dark matter is folded and regular matter is converted to energy. A universe is created (a big bang) when the sink becomes unstable. The fate of a universe is to expand and ultimately to fall onto the interior surface of its dark shell thus becoming a part of it. A dark shell is an all enclosing structure (no way out) and it is anchored by the remnant of an ultimate black hole (originally as large as our universe). A dark shell can be destroyed by one or more rogue singularities but it tends to reform itself. Cosmic rays are very energetic particles and are suggested to be a part of the back wash back through the sink which occurs during a big bang event. The very uniform spatial dispersion of cosmic rays is a strong indication of a steady state situation arising from numerous big bang events and of a very old and very large structure which allows for a thorough mixing of the cosmic rays.

When associated with a note, the face value of the FBO is discounted by the amount of the note if the note has been repaid before the FBO has been triggered. When not associated with a note, the payee is usually an employee, a consultant or a vendor of a product or service used by the company. The payout of FBOs is commonly made over a period of several years after it is triggered. Regardless of the buyout rate, the triggering event(s) is usually the same for all the FBOs issued by a company. The buyout rate for a given FBO normally is a function of the risk at the time it is issued. For a startup company, the buyout rate normally decreases with time until the company qualifies for routine commercial lines of credit. Initial buyout rates can be high (40:1). FBOs allow investors to realize a fixed profit in relation to the risk assumed without the company having to go public (an IPO). If not triggered, an FBO with a note preserves the investment/(unsecured) loan. FBOs are general, contingent debt obligations of a company and avoid the dilution of equity.
