Wiktionary:Todo/Entries containing modifier letters

Definition from Wiktionary, the free dictionary
Jump to: navigation, search

These entries contained, as of the last database dump, the modifier letters ᵗ ᵈ ʳ. These were frequently misused as superscripts, and should often be converted or simply deleted. For example, 1ˢᵗ ed. could be changed to 1st ed., first edition etc. (I did not search for ʰ ⁿ ˢ as they are often used correctly.)

ᵗ ᵈ ʳ

separated out[edit]

  • Great Wall of China, mango, mooncake - contains it in a Min Nan translation; if we use that orthography for Min Nan, this is OK
  • what is your name - contains it in a Choctaw translation; if we use that orthography for Choctaw, this is OK
  • dictionary - contains it in an Amzugo translation; if we use that orthography for Amzugo, this is OK
  • acetone - has no superscript problems, but should perhaps be switched to use subscripts
