NORM: multiple spaces align equal signs in templates[edit]

Voting on:

Part 1 — editing the rule 1 of WT:NORM#Templates, by adding "except whenever allowed in this policy" as follows:

  1. No leading or trailing whitespace in templates (name, parameter name and value), except whenever allowed in this policy.

Part 2 - implementing this new rule in the same section:

  1. For templates with line breaks between parameters, use multiple spaces to align the equal signs (=) before the parameter values, for the purpose of making the wikitext easier to read. Example about {{multiple images}}:

    I bet most people use monospaced fonts in their text boxes because that's the default format, but unfortunately that tabulation would probably look pretty terrible for people who don't use monospaced fonts there. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 09:19, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
