At sunset today, the eighth and last day of Passover or Pesach in 2026 begins. It celebrates the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. The eighth of the ten Plagues of Egypt involved God’s sending of swarms of locusts to convince the Pharaoh to free the enslaved Israelites.
