Y

That letter does not exist in italian and it is at the 54th position. There aren't preposition "y", in Spanish "y" means "and", but in in Italian it is spelt "e". How can it be possible? Also "x" (32nd) looks an invention...

This is most likely an error due to faulty OCR software, as many of the subtitles are scanned and OCRed. I will check what is the reason. Matthias Buchmeier 10:20, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Missing ranks

The 1st and the 1000th rank are missing.

New version

I have generated a new, improved, version of the list. Some few (about 10) file in non-Italien language have been removed which erroneously caused the y to occur at rank 35. All words are now splitt after apostrophes. A bug in the counting script causing lost words at the end of line has been fixed. The bugfix results in an increased total wordcount and reduced occurrences of the most common words. I will upload an updated version of the full list on my Userpage as soon as I find some free time. Italian is my motherlanguage and:

• ln and ie are typos in the subtitles you used. They aren't any italian word.

What?

Clark, Michael, Jim, the, Henry, Harry, York, new, John, Jack, James, Joey. Are you serious? Did you analyse Smallville and Gossip Girl? This list is junk. It's totally unrepresentative of the Italian language. Why should we allow such a thing? It's more than useless, it's harmful. --151.41.147.179 07:45, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
