  1. (reflexive) to know one's way around [with in (+ dative) ‘(in) e.g. a town’, auf (+ dative) ‘(on) e.g. an island’, etc.]

  2. (reflexive) to know a lot (about); to have profound and systematic knowledge (of) [with mit (+ dative) ‘a subject’ or (sometimes) in (+ dative) ‘a professional or scientific field’]

    They are definitely very knowledgeable about the subject.
