Etymology[edit]
From Ottoman Turkish آیرمق (ayırmaḳ, “to part, to separate, to sever, to distinguish”),[1] from Proto-Turkic *ạdïr- (“to split, to separate”),[2] morphologically ayır- + -ın + -tı.
