damaged goods pl (plural only)

  1. Used other than figuratively or idiomatically: see damaged,‎ goods.
    Return the damaged goods to the warehouse for a free replacement.
  2. (figuratively) A person who has an unresolved conflict of emotions after a traumatic event.
  3. (figuratively) A person who is no longer fit for purpose, especially an unmarried woman who is no longer a virgin.
