From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Ancient Greek διαλεκτική (dialektikḗ, the art of argument through interactive questioning and answering), from διαλεκτικός (dialektikós, competent debater), from διαλέγομαι (dialégomai, to participate in a dialogue), from διά (diá, inter, through) + λέγειν (légein, to speak).
