distributive number (plural distributive numbers)

  1. (grammar) A numeral that expresses the amount or quantity of something as it pertains to each member of a set, such as the number of times something happens at once, or the number of members affected each time.
    "Singly" is a distributive number, while "single" is a multiplier.
