enthrone +‎ -ize, from Old French introniser (according to Émile Littré, Dictionnaire de la langue française (1863–1872), dating to the 13th century), from Late Latin int(h)ronizāre, from Ancient Greek ἐνθρονίζειν ‎(enthronízein), from ἐν ‎(en, in) + θρόνος ‎(thrónos, throne).
