forget about (third-person singular simple present forgets about, present participle forgetting about, simple past forgot about, past participle forgotten about)

  1. To not think about something or someone, to fail to remember, or to disregard someone or something.
  2. (often harsh) To abandon a dearly held desire, or a familiar comfort, under pressure from an inescapable stronger party.
    If you're not at work in 15 minutes you can forget about ever coming back.
