    • 2003 December 27, Göteborgs-Posten, quoted in Språkbanken, Korp:
Sedan är det lunch på teatern och personalen försvinner in i ett angränsande rum och äter sushi och lämnar Marko Lehtosalo med sin kebabtallrik ute i köket .
Then it's lunch at the theater and the staff disappear into an adjacent room and eat sushi, leaving Marko Lehtosalo with his doner and chips out in the kitchen.
    • 2014 January 13, “Tog kebabtallrik i pant [Took doner and chips as deposit]”, in SVT Nyheter:
Taxichauffören litade inte på att mannen kunde betala för resan och tog därför hans nyinköpta kebabtallrik i pant.
The taxi driver did not trust that the man could pay for the trip and therefore took his newly purchased doner and chips as a deposit.

Usage notes[edit]

  • It is often served with some kind of small bread, but it is not served in a bread. See kebab med bröd (doner kebab).
  • It is in many ways similar to a kebabsallad, but here with mostly french fries instead of lettuce.
  • While in many ways similar to Australian halal snack pack, it is far from certain that a kebabtallrik is halal certified. You will also be hard-pressed to find one with cheese.
