  1. (computing) a feature that already exists in the environment in which an application is run.
    My plug-in allows the media player to use the existing native support to play videos.
  2. (computing) a feature that works out of the box, without the need to install extensions, rely on external modules, or program extensive specific code.
    My web-browser has native support for displaying SVG images.
