Sino-Vietnamese word from 君主 (monarch) and 立憲 (to make constitution), from Chinese 君主立憲君主立宪 (quân chủ lập hiến chế). Compare Japanese 立憲君主制 (rikken kunshusei, lập hiến quân chủ chế), Korean 입헌군주제 (ipheon'gunjuje).
