Etymology[edit]
From Hindi तत्काल (tatkāl, “on the spot”), from Sanskrit तत्कालीनं (tatkālīnaṃ, “for the present”), from तत् (tat, “that”) + कालीन (kālīna, “belonging to a particular time”).
