1. A person who samples and grades tea quality.

     “A teataster. A man who tastes tea,” Newpole said patiently.

   • 1989, Buranelli, Vincent, Thomas Alva Edison‎^[2], Silver Burdett Press, page 27:

     Edison had an idea. Entering the store, he asked the teataster if he could Judge a cup himself. The man agreed, no doubt believing it would be helpful to have the verdict of a member of the public. And so Edison made a breakfast of a cup of tea.
