uncommitted (comparative more uncommitted, superlative most uncommitted)

  1. Not inclined toward either side in a matter under dispute.
  2. Not bound or pledged to a cause, party etc.
    • 2010, Stanley Elkin, A Bad Man[1]:
      Something about his bearing was uncommitted, as though he were checking not for some bad quality he knew Feldman had, but for some good quality he was afraid he might have.
  3. (computing, of an update to a database etc.) Not yet written to disk and logged.
    Any uncommitted changes will be lost if you disconnect from the source control system.
