Etymology

Inherited from Old Anatolian Turkish یخشی (yaḫşı), from Proto-Common Turkic *yakšï, derivation of Proto-Turkic *yak- (“to draw near; to fit, to be well-suited”).

4. (sarcastic) yeah right, get off with you! often followed by da to denote a disbelief in what one says.

   — Yaxşı da!
