German[edit]

Etymology[edit]

From Middle High German zītlīch, from Old High German zītlīhho, equivalent to Zeit +‎ -lich. Compare English tidely.

Pronunciation[edit]

  • (file)

Adjective[edit]

zeitlich (strong nominative masculine singular zeitlicher, not comparable)

  1. (also grammar) temporal (defined by time)
  2. chronological (ordered by time)
  3. (also religion, Christianity) temporal; not eternal

Usage notes[edit]
