Learned borrowing from Classical Syriac, from Aramaic אַיכַּנָא (ʾaykannā, how, as) +‎ -ܝܐ (-āyā, the attributive adjective ending) +‎ -ܘܼܬ݂ܵܐ (-ūṯā, the abstract noun ending).
